Sözel bellek süreçleri testi’nin 6, 7, 8, 9 yaş grubu çocuklarda normatif verilerinin toplanması

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, 15 yaş üstü standizardasyonu var olan Sözel Bellek Süreçleri Testi’nin 6-9 yaş arası çocuklarda normatif verilerinin toplanmasıdır. Araştırma konusu ve amacının altında yatan temel neden ise, bugüne kadar literatürde çocuklarda bellek performansları ve kapasitelerinin normatif veriler dahilinde ölçülmemesi ve sözel bellek becerilerine bakılmamasıdır. Bu sayede hem literatüre data anlamında önemli bir katkı yapılmış olacak hem de testte daha az başarı gösteren çocuklarda yapılacak yeni uygulamaların gelişmesine ışık tutacaktır. Araştırma özel bir okulda 6, 7, 8 ve 9 yaş grubundaki çocuklara Öktem Sözel Bellek Süreçleri Testi uygulanarak yapılmıştır. 53 erkek, 48 kız olmak üzere 101 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerin Kısa Süreli Bellek, Uzun Süreli Bellek ve Tanıma aşamalarına bakılmış ve verileri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; bu yaş grubu çocukların sözel bellek düzeylerinin sınıflara göre ortalamaları incelendiğinde; 8 yaş grubu olanların anlık bellek, toplam öğrenme ve kendiliğinden hatırlama puanları diğer tüm yaş grubu öğrencilerin anlık bellek, toplam öğrenme ve kendiliğinden hatırlama puanlarından yüksek bulunmuştur.

The main purpose of this research is to collect normative data of SBST which has standardization for over age 15 with students between the ages of 6-9. The logic behind the purpose and topic of this research could be stated that; there have been no investigation toward measuring verbal memory abilities and memory performances and capacities of children in the literature. Therefore; there will be new data for the literature information and area and; new applications for children who have lower scores on the test in order to improve their verbal memory performances. In this study, Sample of 101 students was recruited in the private school. Children who ranged between 6 to 9 years were chosen as participants from, and; Öktem Verbal Memory Processes Test was applied them to measure their verbal memory performances. There were 53 male, and 48 female students in the study. The student data were collected for long-term memory, short-term memory and recognition stages. According to the results of this study; 8th grade students were found as more successful in flash memory, total learning and recall memory performances as compared to subjects from other grades.
