Tekrarlayan Miller-Fisher sendromu: Olgu sunumu

Abstract

Miller-Fisher sendromu (MFS) klasik triadı ataksi, arefleksi, oftalmopleji olan bir Guillain-Barre sendromu varyantıdır. Genelde monofazik olmakla birlikte çok nadiren rekürrens görülmektedir. Bu olguda sekiz senelik asemptomatik bir dönem sonrasında atak tekrarlamıştır. Tekrarlama eğilimi olan nadir olgularda predispozan faktör henüz tanımlanmamıştır. MFS geçiren olgularda rekürrens ihtimali akılda bulundurulmalıdır.

Miller-Fisher syndrome (MFS) is a rare variant of Guillain-Barre syndrome characterized by the triad of ataxia, ophtalmoplegia and areflexia. Recurrences are exceptional with MFS. Herein, we present the case of a patient with MFS who developed a recurrence after an asymptomatic interval of eight years. Since there is no known predisposing factor, keeping the possibility of recurrence in mind would be important for the follow-up of patients with MFS.
