The Analysis of Digital Conversion and Transformation in Education During Pandemic Process in the View of Education Stakeholders
Abstract
This study has been made in order to bring out the education stakeholders’ experiences that took place in online education online platform in pandemic process because of Coronavirus (Covid-19). With this aim by using easily accessible sample, Bozüyük Science High School 11th grade students, teachers and parents comprise the research participants that are totally 23 people. In this qualitative research that was designed with case study, five open-ended questions which are made of sub-questions were directed to learn their opinions about distance learning during coronavirus process. Data was collected through online applications (zoom,whatsapp, facetime) and phone calls. The data is analyzed with content analysis method. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that these three stakeholders have educational experiences in the use of different technologies, course communication and interaction throughout the process, and that there are differences as well as the contributions of distance education. Also, it has been understood that these three education stakeholders have experiences on alternative technology using, lecture communication and interaction and there are both benefits and deficiencies of distance learning. Within this scope, it has been seen that three stakeholders have suggestions for distance education in terms of ensuring student activity of teachers, improving the infrastructure of students’ EBA, and parents providing technological equality. Bu çalisma; koronavirüs (covid-19) sebebiyle yasanan pandemi sürecinde egitimin uzaktan ve online platformlarda gerçeklestirilmesiyle egitim paydaslarinin bu süreçteki deneyimlerini ortaya çikarmak amaciyla yapilmistir. Bu amaç dogrultusunda kolay ulasilabilir örneklem yöntemi kullanilarak Bozüyük Fen Lisesi 11. Sinif ögrencileri, ögretmenleri ve velileri ile toplam 23 kisi arastirmanin katilimcilarini olusturmustur. Nitel arastirma yöntemlerinden durum çalismasi deseni ile olusturulan bu arastirmada, katilimcilara koronavirüs sürecindeki uzaktan egitim ile ilgili görüslerini almak için açik uçlu alt sorulardan olusan toplam 5 soru yöneltilmistir. Veriler online uygulamalar (zoom, whatsapp, facetime) araciligi ve telefon görüsmeleri ile yapilmistir. Elde edilen veriler, içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmistir. Arastirma sonucunda, pandemi sürecinde egitim paydaslarinin yasamlarinda düzen degisikligi, ders isleme, derse katilimi ve motivasyon anlamindan farklilik oldugu sonucuna ulasilmistir. Bu üç paydasin süreç boyunca farkli teknoloji kullanimi, ders iletisim ve etkilesimi konusunda egitim deneyimleri oldugu, uzaktan egitimin katkilarinin olmasi ile birlikte eksik yönlerinin de bulundugu sonucuna ulasilmistir. Bu kapsamda üç paydasin uzaktan egitim için ögretmenlerin ögrenci aktifliginin saglanmasi, ögrencilerin EBA’nin alt yapisinin iyilestirilmesi ve velilerin ise teknolojik esitligin saglanmasi bakimindan önerileri oldugu görülmüstür.
