Abstract

Role changes of the surgical nurse in the developing world: Forensic nursing ABSTRACT: Introdiction- Aim: Nursing is an important health discipline in providing safe and effective care and is a professional profession that focuses primarily on physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Nurses must increase their existing knowledge to meet the current needs of their patients because their tasks today are very different from those in the past. Today, nursing has transformed from a passive state into an independent, decision-making profession, and this development has positive effects on nursing care and enables nurses to perform their duties better. In order to perform advanced nursing roles, nurses need to work collaboratively with professionals from multiple fields, in addition to their professional duties. Forensic nursing, which is one of the fields that requires working with many professionals, is one of the very important areas of expertise in terms of holistic, quality and safe patient care, as well as providing greater satisfaction in nurses and patients. Nurses need to have a command of legal concepts not only to provide quality care but also to defend their rights when necessary. Forensic nursing is an important field located at the intersection of health and law disciplines. In this article, the meaning, purpose and role of the concept of forensic nursing in the judicial process will be discussed. Additionally, the importance of forensic nurses focusing on current issues and the difficulties associated with forensic situations will be discussed. ÖZET GIRIS-AMAÇ: Hemsirelik, güvenli ve etkili bakimin saglanmasinda önemli bir saglik disiplini olup, temel olarak fiziksel, psikolojik ve ruhsal ihtiyaçlara odaklanan profesyonel bir meslektir. Hemsireler hastalarinin mevcut ihtiyaçlarini karsilamak için var olan bilgilerini arttirmalidir çünkü günümüzdeki görevleri geçmisten çok farklidir. Günümüzde hemsirelik pasif durumdan bagimsiz, karar verici bir meslege dönüsmüstür ve bu gelisiminin hemsirelik bakimi üzerinde olumlu etkileri olup, hemsirelerin görevlerini daha iyi yerine getirebilmelerini saglar. Ileri düzeyde hemsirelik rollerini gerçeklestirebilmek için, hemsirelerin profesyonel görevlerinin yani sira, birden çok alandan profesyonelle de is birligi içinde çalismasi gereklidir. Birçok profesyonelle çalismasini gerektiren alanlardan biri olan adli hemsirelik, hemsirelerde ve hastalarda daha fazla memnuniyet saglamanin yani sira bütüncül, kaliteli ve güvenli hasta bakimi açisindan da çok önemli uzmanlik alanlarindan biridir. Hemsirelerin yalnizca kaliteli bakim saglamak için degil ayni zamanda gerekli durumlarda haklarini savunabilmek için de yasal kavramlara hâkim olmalari gerekir. Adli hemsirelik, saglik ve hukuk disiplinlerinin kesisim noktasinda yer alan önemli bir alandir. Bu makalede, adli hemsirelik kavraminin anlami, amaci ve adli süreçteki rolü ele alinacaktir. Ayrica, adli hemsirelerin güncel konulara odaklanmalarinin önemi ve adli durumlarla ilgili zorluklar tartisilacaktir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Hemsirelik bakimi, adli, hemsirelik, hemsirelik rolü.
